Formula One Challenge further instructions
------------------------------------------
If your version of this program suffers from crashing. This is mainly due
to the program being low on memory (even on a 1 meg machine!)
One way to avoid these problems is to take the following steps :-
1) Rename the "s/startup-sequence" on this disk to "s/startup-sequence.old"
2) Rename the "s/startup-memlow" on this disk to "s/startup-sequence"
The new startup-sequence does not allow you to choose the instructions
options off the menu (so make sure you know how to play this game first.)
It also does not display the Amivision logo and the title page as well as
the Formula One Challenge tune.
Changing the startup-sequence to the memlow startup-sequence means that
quite a lot of memory is saved , this makes Formula One Challenge a lot more
reliable in operation.
Another way of claiming more memory is to turn off ALL external drives
(both floppy and hard varieties.)
Formula One Challenge has undergone yet another update (V3.00)
The changes since V1.48 include :-
- Details can be easily updated for each season with an updater disk
(see end of main instructions for more details).
- Compacted code makes F1C far more reliable in operation than previous
versions.
- Few extra! ways of cars going out of races.
- Spins cost more time than before.
- Weather forecast
- Improved qualifying session and race statistics
- Wing Settings
