Puzzle, By Mark Burbidge.
This program at present is released with AmPP V0.9a, and should accompany it
wherever it goes. But Puzzle may be distributed seperately, only if this DOC
file remains intact with it, and ConvFormat with it's documentation also.
Puzzle was written in under an hour using AMOS.
Upon loading you will be presented with a file requester, you may load IFF
files and PCK files. A file without the PCK extension will be assumed to be
an IFF file. If the selected file isn't a picture the program will abort.
PCK files are files which have been compressed using AMOS screen compression
routines. ConvFormat, which should be on this disk (if it isn't kick up a
stink), converts IFF files to PCK files and back again. PCK files are much
smaller than IFF files.
The picture will be sliced into tiles and mixed up, you must then restore the
picture. (HAM pictures produce odd effects). One tile should be a small
replica of the original picture, to give you something to aim at, this is
your blank space, and other tiles may be moved into the 'space'. To move an
adjacent tile into the space, click on it. When all the tiles are in place
again a bell will sound, and the next time you tweak your rat the file
selector will appear again. You may abort the game by pressing the right
mouse button.
To leave the program select quit on the file requestor.
Puzzle is TOTALLY PUBLIC DOMAIN, provided that the above conditions are
observed. Puzzle should not affect your pictures on disk in the slightest.
