ABOUT C&K SOFTWARE AND
PACIFIC RIM DEVELOPMENT
In September 1988, Chris Addison and Kevin Matz started a
small software company, C&K Software (Chris and Kevin's Software).
Nothing really happened until about July 1990, when we started making
some new software titles and putting them out in the Shareware market.
Later on, as we wrote more software, a few of our friends joined us.
We welcomed on Geoffrey Lowe and Kent Edy. Then, with programs like
Talk to Me, we changed our name to C&K Software Technologies, and added
a division, Mount Benson Productions, although no titles came out under
the new division.
Now, in January 1991, some of the Nanaimo Sysops of the local
bulletin boards were interested in our software. Its good that most
sysops are kids, like us, because we had some more people jump on our
team. But "C&K" sounded sort of sucky and ugly, so we changed our name
again, this time to Pacific Rim Software (I prefer to call it Pacific
Rim Development, but who cares).
Thanks for wasting your time on reading this!
Kevin Matz, co-founder of C&K Software.
