  4. SBTimbre is a Timbre editor -- it lets you create and modify instrument
  5. sounds for the Sound Blaster and Adlib FM Cards.  You can audition sounds
  6. using a Sound Blaster or MPU401 compatible interface and a MIDI controller
  7. (a piano keyboard for instance), or by pressing buttons with a mouse or 
  8. computer keyboard.

  10. SBTimbre features include:

  12.   * Sound Blaster MIDI, MPU401 MIDI
  13.   * Multiple Open IBK Files.
  14.   * Creation of new IBK files.
  15.   * Copying of Timbres between IBK files.
  16.   * Editing of Individual Timbres.
  17.   * "Spin" edit controls using a Mouse or +- keys
  18.   * Auditioning of tones.
  19.   * Renaming of Timbres.
  20.   * 43/50 Line Screen option (EGA/VGA required).
  21.   * CUA compliant Text Mode Windows.
  22.   * Compatible with the Cakewalk FM Card driver file format (IBK files)

  24. SBTimbre is Shareware: "try before you buy" software.  Vendors may
  25. distribute SBTimbre provided that no more than a reasonable fee is 
  26. charged for distribution and all the supporting files are included 
  27. (with the exception of this file).  It may be included on a disk 
  28. containing other software.

  32. Users get a 30 day trial period.  Upon registration, Users receive
  33. the lastest version of SBTimbre, the latest version of the SBANK file 
  34. conversion program (Not included here), printed documentation, and 
  35. telephone support.
