MUSIC MAKER INTRO
Please read this file completely before making in drastic decisions such
as deleting the programs that come along with it!!
You may have already noticed that the programs included in this arc file
are basic. The reason that I arced the files twice was to warn you of what the
files contain. Many people arbitrarily delete all files that they find when
they discover that they are written in basic, mostly because they think that
basic files in general are slower programs or either trash programs because
most anybody can write a basic program. This set of programs is different.
This program includes a binary patch for basic that allows incredible
music to flow from your IBM XT's speaker. It allows three voices of music to
be play simultaneously. This music is not the usual alternation of three
notes, but it occurs as such a rapid rate, that it appears that three notes are
actually playing at once (so fast that in effect, they actually are). Please
do not take my word for this. To convince you I have provided along with my
music editor, the song Yakety Sax. To play the music, 'Run "Play"', and type
in Yak as the file name to play.
