C/MS MUSIC RUDIMENTS
====================
QUICK START
===========
1) The Music Rudiments operates with CMSDRV version 3.2,
If you have not loaded CMSDRV, insert Disk #1 and
type : CMSDRV
If an older version of CMSDRV is already loaded, you must first
remove it by typing: CMSDRV /u (unistall the driver)
OR reset your computer and load the new one.
NOTE : This CMSDRV.COM (ver 3.2) is defaulted to run on the
GameBlaster (C/MS card), if you have the SoundBlaster,
run CMSSETUP in Disk#1 to change the driver.
Copy this CMSDRV.COM to your harddisk's AUTOEXEC.BAT.
2) Type : START1 to run Disk#1
START2 to run Disk#2
START3 to run Disk#3
Installing to Harddisk
----------------------
Make a sub-directory /MUSICR/ in your harddisk and xcopy all 3 disks
into this sub-dir :
1) Go to the root dir: C> cd\
2) make /MUSICR/ dir: C> md musicr
2) change to /MUSICR/ : C> cd musicr
3) put disk#1 in A: C> xcopy a:*.* /s
4) put disk#2 in A: C> xcopy a:*.* /s
3) put disk#3 in A: C> xcopy a:*.* /s
ABOUT C/MS MUSIC RUDIMENTS
==========================
The C/MS Music Rudiments is designed to introduce music concepts
in a fun way. There are altogether 3 disks each emphasizing one
concept:
Rudiments Disk #1
Sound - The Perception of Sound
Rudiments Disk #2
Beat - The heart of music
Rudiments Disk #3
Sight - On music notation
The Rudiments Disk #1 covers the topics of :

Each of the above topics (in brackets) are found in their
respective batch files. If you cannot remember the topic names,
simply do a directory listing by putting disk #1, disk #2 or disk
#3 in drive A and type:
A> dir
The topics will appear with extension xxxxx.BAT. Type the
topic name you wish to go into.
Example :
A> Alphabet
If you want to read all the topics on that disk,
Type : A> STARTx
(where x is 1, 2 or 3. hence : START1, START2 or START3 )
You can pause or freeze each lesson at any point by holding down
the [Ctrl] key and hit the [5] key two times.
To continue, hold down the [Ctrl] key and hit [5] once only.
To stop the music completely, hold down the [Ctrl] key and hit
[5] three times:
When doing that, the graphic change will speed up as
they do not need to wait for the music. Therefore, it
is best to just lower the volume of your Music Card
unless you want to browse through the lesson.
To end, hold down the [Ctrl] key and hit the [End] key.
