  8. XPK is an interfacing standard between application programs and packer 
  9. libraries. Every XPK application program can pack data with any XPK packer.
  10.  
  11. Distributability
  12. XPK is copyrighted, but freely distributable for non-commercial use. Some
  13. parts of XPK have a different legal status, ie. PD, GPL or shareware.

  15. This is the main part of the xpk distribution. In this archiv are all the
  16. files you really need.

  18. How to install these files:
  19. Copy the contents of all the directories to the corresponding directories
  20. on your system. If you have a 68020 or higher you can also copy the files
  21. in the Libs_68020+ to your Libs directory. These files should replace files
  22. with the same name in Libs directory, which are for all 680x0.

  24. An Installer script will come soon, then the installation will be a lot
  25. easier.

  27. NOTE: Starting with version 3.10 I (Dirk Stoecker) am the programmer of
  28. xpkmaster.library. I continue the work of Urban Dominik Mueller and
  29. Christian von Roques with their permission!

  31. Changed to last release:
  32. cleaned up the release, removed XFH, added catalog files, no important
  33. changes at the master library, recompiled the Shell programs

  36. all files are accessable (also the xpk_Crypt.lha archive). This page is
  37. still in beta phase so report all problems, errors and ideas. Tell me links
  38. to other xpk related pages so this page can become a main xpk page. I may
  39. update the html files, but you have to create the page!
