Animals in Motion IBM-PC CD-ROM Version
=======================================
Animals in Motion is a Multimedia cyclopedia of animation
from the animal world. It is Part 2 of 3 in the Muybridge
series, which also includes:
Women in Motion
Men in Motion
For the PC, we felt that providing a "Print" Option would be too limiting,
and we could end up failing to support some users with less popular printers.
We have instead provided a screen dump facility, activated by pressing the
"Print" button on screens, this will create a standard 256 Colour PCX format
file that you can then print or manipulate with your favorite graphics
package. This should allow you to not only print the images through your
graphics software, but also manipulate and combine them.
The screen print facility will create files sequentially numbered from
SCRN001.PCX to SCRN099.PCX in the root directory of the current drive, so,
if you are running from hard drive 'C:', the files will appear in 'C:\'.
These files can then be read in by any package supporting 256 colour PCX V3
files (such as the Paintbrush program supplied with MS-WINDOWS).
If the screen dump program encounters an error, it will signal this by beeping
when you attempt to "Print" a screen, this will most probably be caused by
running out of disk space or because all the filenames (1-99) are currently
in use.
Note: You should ensure that a disk which receives a screen dump
is not write protected.

This product will utililse the following:
2 or 3 Button Mouse (Driver must be loaded before starting)
To take full advantage of the multimedia effect of this product, you need a
CD-ROM drive with audio playing capability connected to suitable speakers.
If you have a mouse, the left mouse button will have the same effect as
"Button A" in the instructions, if you point to an item and press the
left mouse button that item will be displayed or acted upon. The right
mouse button has the same effect as "Button B" and will take you back to
a previous screen.
Moving the mouse will move the pointer on the screen.
If you do not have a mouse, the pointer can be moved by the arrow keys and the
keys on the numeric keypad. The arrow keys will move the pointer in the
required direction, and the keys on the keypad will allow you to move both
straight and diagonally.
If you are without a mouse, the '+' key on the keypad will act as "Button A"
and the '-' key on the keypad will act as "Button B".
The on-disk instructions for this product describe the operation of the
program in cursor-controlled mode, where you can move a box-shaped cursor
round the on-screen buttons to select the functions you want. This mode
is only active if there is no mouse and/or mouse driver currently active on
your system. If you have a mouse, the cursor controls will not apply and you
will be able to activate the buttons by simply pointing and clicking on them.
Other keyboard equivalents for "Button A" are:
Key 'A'
Key 'F1'
Other keyboard equivalents for "Button B" are:
Key 'B'
Key 'F2'
Whilst using the product, the normal "Ctrl-Alt-Del" function will not be
active. If you wish to quit from the product type "Ctrl-ESC"
The INSTALL.EXE program will copy certain files onto your hard disk. To run
it, log onto the CD (e.g. CD E:) then type install & follow the prompts.
If the product will not load, this will probably be because there is not
enough free memory available in your system to run it. You should try removing
unnecessary device drivers and "BUFFERS=" lines from your CONFIG.SYS, while
removing any lines from your AUTOEXEC.BAT file that load in memory resident
software.
Please enjoy Animals in Motion!
