MORE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
From: Eliason 60162
I have the Loadstar disk #10. One
of the main reasons I purchased it was
for the program called Tinkertools in
Commodore Microcomputers magazine.
However, it is not working correctly.
I have tried to debug it for a
month to no avail. It will not draw
or load the 'Efig' program that is an
affiliated program. The Simon's
cartridge is in place and I have read
and reread the instructions in the
magazine but still no luck.
It may be something very basic but I
cannot seem to get the program to
work. I have written two letters to
the magazine, but have not received a
response. One of the main reasons for
buying a computer was for a program
similar to 'Tinkertools'. Please help
me if you can.

I have a FastLoad cartridge and
it should be able to copy protected
disks unless I misunderstood the
directions. Can you clarify?

Next I would like to know what
software or cartridges would enable me
to do this (make a backup).

I recently bought the Modem 300 to
get on line with Delphi in Cambridge,
MA. When I used it, I would receive
the carrier tone but my C-64 would not
respond. Could it be that I have a
phone problem such as insufficient
audio level or do you think it is the
modem/software? Is there any way that
I can troubleshoot this? Note: I
double checked and triple checked the
set up and all seemed ok...The number
was dialed. The carrier came on. When
it stopped. I pressed the return key.
At this point I didn't hear any
computer information from my C-64 on
the modem speaker which indicated that
my computer didn't hear the carrier or
something was wrong with the modem.
Can you explain this problem?
