  11.      I am sending you a review of a
  12.  
  13. spreadsheet that I recently acquired
  14.  
  15. called CAL-KIT by Batteries Included.
  16.  
  17. It is a relatively inexpensive
  18.  
  19. spreadsheet program for the C-64 that
  20.  
  21. can be used for checkbook balancing,
  22.  
  23. income tax calculations, budget
  24.  
  25. planning, and 20 different other
  26.  
  27. financial data calculations that
  28.  
  29. sometimes seem redundant.
  30.  
  31.      CAL-KIT was not as easy to
  32.  
  33. learn as it was described to be on
  34.  
  35. the outside package.  I found myself
  36.  
  37. referring back to the 72-page manual
  38.  
  39. quite frequently while learning to
  40.  
  41. use it.  It does have some very
  42.  
  43. useful forms that make calculating
  44.  
  45. figures much easier and the forms
  46.  
  47. that are included can be altered and
  48.  
  49. modified to fit specific needs.  It
  50.  
  51. just takes some time and patience and
  52.  
  53. maybe some background knowledge of
  54.  
  55. spreadsheets to use this program to
  56.  
  57. its full potential.  I'm sure there
  58.  
  59. are better programs out there with
  60.  
  61. many more fancy features but for
  62.  
  63. basic home use for not a lot of
  64.  
  65. money, this program would suffice for
  66.  
  67. most people.
  68.  
  69.      This program can be expanded to
  70.  
  71. a full 80 column display by buying a
  72.  
  73. BI-80 80 column card from Batteries
  74.  
  75. Included that plugs into the
  76.  
  77. cartridge port of your C-64.
