  7.     FORTUNE HUNTER is a graphic
  8. adventure game that transports you to
  9. an unexplored land filled with
  10. forests, mountains, deserts and
  11. rivers. The object of the game is to
  12. locate and dig up five buried
  13. treasures. You must also find
  14. canteens, shovels, boats and maps to
  15. allow you to survive and to assist
  16. you in your search. A normal game
  17. will take you up to an hour to
  18. complete and is very challenging.  It
  19. can also teach you map reading skills
  20. as you try to find the buried
  21. treasures.

  23.     Using a joystick in port #2, you
  24. can move in any of eight directions.
  25. This is important, as sometimes the
  26. only movement possible will be in a
  27. diagonal direction. When you come
  28. upon an object, press the firebutton
  29. to add it to your supplies.
  30.  
  31.     Canteens are the most important
  32. items to gather, as you will need
  33. water to survive. When you are
  34. becoming thirsty you will be informed
  35. and your movement will slow
  36. considerably. When you wish to take
  37. a drink and have a canteen in your
  38. supply, press the F3 key.

  40.     The use of shovels in the game is
  41. self-explanatory. Press F1 to use a
  42. shovel and dig a hole in your current
  43. position.
  44.  
  45.     Boats are very useful as they
  46. allow you to travel the waterways at
  47. a fast speed. This allows you to
  48. reach faraway areas in a short amount
  49. of time. To use a boat, approach the
  50. water and press F5. You now use your
  51. joystick to maneuver in the water.
  52. When you wish to disembark, approach
  53. land and press the firebutton.

  55.     Maps are also very important to
  56. locate because finding treasure is
  57. nearly impossible without them.
  58. These maps will show you a detailed
  59. location of a treasure. To access a
  60. map press F7. You will then be
  61. prompted to enter a number from 1 to
  62. 5. The corresponding map, if you
  63. have it, will then be shown in a
  64. small window on the right side of the
  65. screen. The point at which you must
  66. dig is located in the center of the
  67. map. Try and match the map to
  68. someplace in the world if you can and
  69. lay claim to the spoils of your
  70. search.

  72.     This game is hard to complete and
  73. should present a real challenge to
  74. fortune hunters. You must find all
  75. five treasures before you die of
  76. thirst, which is a very real
  77. possibility. There is one tip I
  78. would like to give you:  You can
  79. cross rivers with diagonal movement
  80. at points where a river is narrow
