The Land of Motion
by Anthony Rose
It is a time of great peril as
once again the evil ones have risen
up to threaten the land. The call
has gone out to any brave adventurer
to recover the Four Jewels of Light
and Darkness, for it is only through
the Jewels' powers that the people
of INERTIANIA can truly be spared the
peril to come -- Eternal Stasis.
TRAVELING THE LAND
There is constant movement in
Inertiania once you start. Use the
joystick in Port #2 to move about,
dodging the perils and moving between
the forty levels of the Land. There
are treasure chests on each of the
levels. You must search these
chests, which are square objects of
various colors. Most of them contain
gold, but you MUST find the four that
contain the Jewels of Light and
Darkness. The music will alert you
when you've found a Jewel.
On each level there will be a
stairway up (white) and a stairway
down (red). Run into these to change
levels. Do not run off the edge or
into one of the many demonic entities
that have infiltrated Inertiania or
you will lose a life. Lose three
lives and the evil ones will laugh at
you as you are carried away into
oblivion.
Once you have the Four Jewels you
should go up the stairs on Level 1 to
win the game and save the gracious
inhabitants of Inertiania, the Land
of Perpetual Motion.
A FEW TIPS
At the start of each level make
sure you are headed in the direction
you wish to go. Also, you can use the
trails you leave behind as reference
points for strategic changes in
direction.
Some of the sounds used in the
program were taken from Malcolm
Dale's SOUND EFFECTIVE, published on
issue #75. The numerous graphics,
which are made out of customized font
characters, were made with EDITOR-IN-
CHIEF, a font editor published on
LOADSTAR #23.

DAVE'S NOTE: [Nobody] does graphics
like Anthony Rose. And his festival of
ferocious faces is one of his best
efforts. You would think this little
joystick buster would be easy.
NOT!
