Pregnant women often feel tired and sensitive, and high levels of sexual tension can make some women feel irritable. BREASTS In the first three months of pregnancy, tissue and glandular alterations mean that the breasts swell by as much as 25 percent and that the nipples enlarge. Some women find that their breasts feel sore, but tenderness lessens as the pregnancy advances. By the time the baby is born the breasts will have grown by almost a third of their pre-pregnancy size. They are in a permanent state of arousal and may be far more responsive to gentle stimulation than before.
