  87. About the GUI (Graphic User Interface)
  88. --------------------------------------
  89.   In fact there is not just one GUI included with this CD-ROM but two (one
  90. for PC compatibles and another for Amigas). Both GUIs work similarly, so
  91. whenever there is a mention of GUI in this guide, it means that the same
  92. command / set of actions is valid for both GUIs.
  93.   The GUI is designed to be used with your mouse. If you are using a PC
  94. compatible, be sure to load your mouse driver before you start the GUI. If
  95. you don't have a mouse, you can use your cursor keys to move around. Your
  96. <ESC> will substitute for RMB and <ENTER> for LMB. Your function keys (F1
  97. to F7) will select between demo, 64 kb & 4 kb intro, source, 4 channel &
  98. 32 channel music and graphics menus (that is, if you press F1 the demo menu
  99. will show up and if you press F5 the graphics menu will pop up).
  100.   Note to PC users: If your graphics card does not support the VESA 
  101. standard directly (on-board) you should load your VESA driver before 
  102. running the PC GUI because the displayer for the pictures uses the 
  103. standard VESA mode 640 x 480 x 256c.

  105. About Inertia Player V 1.21 Assembly '94 CD Version
  106. ---------------------------------------------------
  107. Inertia Player V 1.21 Assembly '94 CD Version is an excellent multiple 
  108. format module player.  It plays almost every type of module correctly. It 
  109. supports all major soundboard standards from Covox to Gravis UltraSound. 
  110. It has a great graphic user interface that is easy to use.  For further
  111. information refer to the InertiaPlayer manual in the Info directory.

  114. How to operate the GUI
  115. ----------------------
  116.   The GUI is very easy to operate. There are only a few commands to use,
  117. and you don't even need your keyboard if you have a mouse.
  118.  
  119. Starting the GUI
  120. ----------------
  121. 1. If you are using a PC, enter on the DOS prompt: "pcgui".
  122. 2. If you are using an amiga, enter on the amiga DOS prompt: "amigagui.exe"
  123.  
  124. Moving between menus
  125. --------------------
  126. 1. Click the appropriate icon on the menu bar with the LMB
  127. 2. Press F1, F2,...,F7 (F1=first icon on the bar, F2=second icon,...)
  128. 3. Click RMB (or press <ESC>) to get to the previous screen

  132. 1. Drag the scroll bar (click-and-hold on the white area of the scroll bar
  133.    and move your mouse up or down)
