- Totally off-topic, but...
-
- As a professional writer for AT&T Global Information Solutions (aka NCR),
- I'd just like to say that indexing a manual is HELL, even for a very
- small one. The tools available for generating indexes in most common
- word processors (ex, Word for Windows) are TERRIBLE.
-
- It once took me as long to write the index for a ~20 page user's manual
- as it did to write the manual!

- This kind of thing bugs me, too. For $70, you'd think they could put a
- $0.39 floppy in the book, maybe with a few extra goodies on it, too. I
- mean, the $20 raytracing book I bought a few months ago had a 1.4M floppy
- on it crammed with raytracing goodies (all for DOS/Win, but that's who
- the book was aimed at) that were all freeware and available for FTP...
- pretty convenient though for non-networked people.
