  1. To install the Wintrek for Windows program, simply copy all files
  2. on this disk to a directory on your hard disk. A description of 
  3. each file is shown below:

  5.     TREK.EXE          the Windows executable file
  6.     TREKHELP.HLP      the Windows help file
  7.     LOW.SCR           file for saving low difficulty scores
  8.     MEDIUM.SCR        file for saving medium difficulty scores
  9.     HIGH.SCR          file for saving high difficulty scores
  10.     LOGTILE2.BMP      a bitmap that can be tiled as a background
  11.     TSOFLOG2.BMP      a bitmap that can be tiled as a background
  12.     REGISTER.TXT      an ASCII text registration form
  13.     CHNGADDR.TXT      an ASCII text change of address form
  14.     README.TXT        this file

  16. The easiest way to put TREK.EXE in to your Program Manager is by
  17. opening Windows' File Manager and Program Manager at the same
  18. time, with one on one side of the screen and one on the other.
  19. Then highlight TREK.EXE by pressing the left mouse button.
  20. While still holding the left mouse button down, "drag" TREK.EXE
  21. onto the spot in Program Manager where you want it stored. Then
  22. release the left mouse button and the icon for Wintrek for Windows
  23. Version 2.0 will be displayed. The game can now be played by 
  24. double-clicking on the new icon.

  26. The two files LOGTILE2.BMP and TSOFLOG2.BMP are bitmaps that can
  27. be tiled as Windows backgrounds. They should be stored in the same
  28. directory as your other background bitmaps. However, they are not
  29. required for playing the game, so they may be deleted.

  31. The file REGISTER.TXT is an ASCII text file that can be printed
  32. and completed to register this copy of Wintrek for Windows. The
  33. file can be printed using your favorite word processor or by typing
  34. TYPE REGISTER.TXT > PRN and hitting RETURN from a DOS prompt if
  35. you have a dot matrix printer. If you register this version of
  36. Wintrek for Windows, you will support the concept of shareware.
  37. Your name will be entered into our database so you can be notified
  38. when new versions of the program are released, as well as new TSoft
  39. products. Another text file, CHNGADDR.TXT, can be used to notify
  40. us if you move. The three TXT files are not essential to the play
  41. of the game, so they can be deleted when you are finished with
  42. them. Make sure to keep backup copies of the program!

  44. Wintrek for Windows should be stored in its own subdirectory. 
  45. However, it can be stored anywhere. It does not have to be stored
  46. in you path. The three SCR files MUST be stored in the Wintrek 
  47. for Windows startup directory or in your path. The program should
  48. work without the SCR files, but scores cannot be stored.
