Instructions
The object of the game is to reunite
the numbers with their answers. You
do this by jumping up and
bumping a number icon.
You will enter into a
problem.
Jump up and hit the digits of
the answer. This will give
you more slime.
Don't answer wrong or a
Gruzzle will appear!
Look at the bottom of the screen.
You will see a math problem. Find
the garbage truck with the matching
answer and touch it for points.
There are secret bonus points that
you can get. Be sure to pick
up toys for points. Garbage
cans protect you from Gruzzles.
Don't let the Gruzzles near
you. They will try to steal your
garbage can lids!
When you see a Gruzzle,
point him out to Benny.
If Benny has any slime
he will slime the
Gruzzle.
If you answer a number
problem, Benny will
have more slime to
pour on Gruzzles.
Note that elementary school
students are not expected to
collect all the number icons before
advancing to the next level. Nor
are they expected to find and
explore all the secret levels.
They should be playing on EASY
level.
Older players will want to go to
the main menu and set Difficulty to
Medium or Hard.
Choose 'Difficulty' from the Game
Options menu to customize the
program.
Easy: You only have to collect
10 icons before the door
to the next level opens.
Gruzzles leave to take a
bath when you slime them
You get a slime for every
problem you solve.
Gruzzles are not very good
at chasing you.
Medium: You must collect all
icons.
Gruzzles go away when
you slime them and do
not come back.
You get a slime for
every problem you
solve.
Gruzzles are pretty
good at chasing you.
Hard: You must collect all icons.
You get a slime for every
2 problems you solve.
Gruzzles steal a lid when
they touch you.
Gruzzles are very smart.
After you choose difficulty you can
choose the type of problems you want
(add, subtract, etc.). In Episodes 2
and 3 you can choose multiplication
and division also.
If you want to skip solving the
problems and just play the game you
can choose "Skip Problems" on the
difficulty menu. You won't get
the extra points for solving the
problems. You have to reset
"Skip problems" each time you
start the game.
Teachers and Parents:
You can disable the "Skip problems"
option by running the program like
this one time:
MR1 LEARN
This permanently disables the
"Skip Problems" option. After you
have done this once, the "Skip
problems" options does not appear
on the menu.
The only way to reverse LEARN
is to re-install the whole
program from the original disk.
