Introduction
--------------
This screen saver runs under Microsoft(R) Windows(R) to simulate
fireworks launching and exploding on your screen. It is EXTREMELY
customizable -- you have to see it to believe it!
It is distributed as freeware. The suggested registration fee for this
application is $5. You are free to distribute any unregistered versions
of this application to individuals and to bulletin boards, as long as you
distribute all of the files in their original, unregistered, format.
(In fact, we encourage it because that is the only way that we can let
people know about our work.)
Please see Products.TXT for more information on registering this
application and for details on other products that are available
from Perpetual Motion Software.

--------------
Installation
--------------
1. Right-click on the Firework.inf file and select the Install command.
Now, open the Control Panel and run "Display". Click on the Screen Saver
tab. You should see a new screen saver called "Fireworks" in the list of
screen savers. If not, Fireworks is not installed properly. (Please try
to install it again and then contact us via any of the methods listed in
'products.txt'.)
Not all of the files are installed on your computer. You should keep them
in case you need to refer to the .txt files or need to reinstall the
application. (You can keep them either on the distribution media they
came on or you can copy them to your computer yourself.)
-----------
Uninstall
-----------
1. Open the Control Panel and run "Add/Remove Programs".
2. Select "Fireworks for Windows 95" and press the "Add/Remove" button.
(The actual name may be slightly different.)
3. Please send us a message telling us what you don't like about Fireworks.

=============================================================================
Version 2.53
=============================================================================

sounds section. There is now a heading called "Fireworks screen saver"
which contains all of the supported sound events.
=============================================================================
Version 2.51
=============================================================================
Fixes
-----
Due to an operating system limitation, the maximum number of rockets is 62.
=============================================================================
Version 2.50
=============================================================================
Enhanced
--------
The fireworks are now multithreaded -- each rocket/explosion is a thread.
Now, each rocket can have a different speed.
The settings dialog box uses property pages to better organize the options.
=============================================================================
Version 2.10
=============================================================================
Fixes
-----
All memory is freed when the screen-saver stops.
The About box works again.
Enhanced
--------
The registry is used for all settings. Separate settings are stored for
each user of the system (who uses the Fireworks screen-saver).
The sound event names have been changed slightly:
"Crowd Applauding" is now "Explode High"
"Crowd Screaming" is now "Explode Low"
There will be unused entries in your system registry. If you wish to
delete them, please consult your Windows help on how to edit the registry.
You can search for the string "Fireworks" to find these entries.
There will also be an unused section in your control.ini. The heading
of this section is "[ScreenSaver.Fireworks]". You can delete the entire
section.
=============================================================================
Version 2.01
=============================================================================

Version 1.11

Fixes
-----
An error message is displayed when the user enters a value for the "Erase

rockets" field. This message is now more clear and is not displayed when
the user enters zero, a legal value.
Enhancements
------------
There is now a Defaults button on the configuration screen. When the user
presses this button, the controls are filled with the default values.
If the user then presses Cancel, the changes are not saved.
