  3. When you run the 'setup.bat' file for Internet Mail capability you add
  4. more than this to your overall setup. In other words there are several
  5. new file extensions added and some of your existing extensions'
  6. associations may be changed. There is an upside to this though. Even
  7. though you probably don't have MS's Internet Explorer installed you can
  8. take advantage of some of it's capability. The ability to put shortcuts
  9. on the desktop to your favorite URL's! In order to do this you need to
  10. be using Netscape 1.2b?. I just noticed this ability with the latest beta
  11. which is b3 and it may work with earlier betas. When you hit view
  12. bookmarks and right click on a bookmark a new choice has been added:
  13. 'Create Shortcut'. You are given a choice of where to place the bookmark
  14. and can also edit the name. In other words it doesn't always have to be
  15. called 'Shortcut to...'. You can get rid of this right from the start!

  17. I have not found a way to double click the shortcut and start Netscape 
  18. with that URL loaded even though I have added an action to this file 
  19. type with the %1 parameter. This only gives you the text of the URL. 
  20. If someone can tell me another parameter that will work with Netscape 
  21. I will add this info to this readme. You can however drag and drop this 
  22. shortcut on the open window of Netscape and it will go to it.

  24. The icon that has been added to your desktop can be safely deleted and I
  25. went so far as to delete the key associated with that icon from the
  26. registry on my system although I don't think this is the preferred
  27. method unless you know your way around the registry quite well. You
  28. will probably want to check your graphics extensions as well as any
  29. .htm or .html extensions and change them back the way you want. You may
  30. use extensions that I don't and I'm sure you will notice the first time
  31. you double click on the extension that it has been changed.

  33. I'm sure there are other things that can be customized but I haven't
  34. gotten around to it yet. If you can help out with this it would be
  35. great.

  38. SYSTEM WILL BE CHANGED! AND DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU. :-)
