  140.  + MIME support (except character sets).  Send and receive MIME messages.
  141.     There's a new section for the EUDORA.INI file called [Mappings] which
  142.     holds info when switching between PC, Mac, and MIME.  The format of an
  143.     entry in the [Mappings] section looks like:

  145.     <dir>=<extension>,<Mac creator>,<Mac Type>,<MIME type>,<MIME subtype>
  146.  
  147.     where <dir> is the direction of the attachment, which can have the
  148.     values "in", "out", or "both".  Values for Mac and MIME fields can be
  149.     blank to match whole categories.  Here's a sample [Mappings] section:

  160.     There's two new icon switches on composition windows.  The MIME switch
  161.     tells whether or not attachments should be encoded using MIME if it is
  162.     on, or Binhex if it is off.  The QP switch tells whether text with
  163.     funny characters (> 127) should be encoded using the MIME encoding
  164.     quoted-printable.  The only reason you would probably want the QP
  165.     switch turned off is if you are sending a message to someone who
  166.     doesn't have a MIME capable mail reader and the message has some
  167.     characters (usually because it's a non-English language) that you
  168.     want to be sent raw (not encoded in QP).

  170.     With this new support for mappings, old versions of PC Eudora incorrectly
  171.     mapped non-text attachments.  This means that if you send a non-text
  172.     binhex attachment with an old version of PC Eudora to a new version of
  173.     PC Eudora (1.4 or above), the new version will decode it incorrectly
  174.     because it will be marked as a text attachment (long story shortened).

  177.  + GPF on selecting Cancel when problems with emptying Trash on Quit
