Welcome to ZJZ RISK. Included with this "README.1ST" file, are three
other files of major importance.
BOARD.EXE - This file creates the RISK game board. This program
must be run BEFORE the RISK game can be played the
first time. Once the RISK board has been created
(RISK.BRD is the name), BOARD does not have to be
run again, unless something unfortunate happens to
the RISK.BRD file.
RISK.EXE -- This file is the actual game program.
RISK.HLP -- This file contains all the information needed to play
the game. It is simply an ASCII textfile which can be
printed out for handy reference, and can also be browsed
inside the game program itself.
While the game can be played from a floppy disk, it is suggested that
the files be placed on a hard drive and played from there if at all possible.
If the game is to be played from a floppy drive, make sure that the disk is
not write protected, or the directory used to save games cannot be created.
If the game is to be played on a hard drive, copy all four of these files
to the directory that you wish to use, typically named "RISK".
The game can be invoked by simply typing RISK at the DOS prompt. This
assumes that you are in the directory where the game program resides.
See the "RISK.HLP" file for further information. Good Luck and have fun!!!
