Super StarTrek is distributed as shareware on an "I trust you" basis and is
not in any form to be considered public domain or free. Considerable effort
went into creating the program and I am retaining full protection under the
copyright laws. However, I also want you to be able to share my games with
your friends. So, please feel free to hand on as many copies as you would
like, as long as you include all of the original files.
Super StarTrek is not for sale through retail facilities. It is distributed

I'm retaining full protection under the copyright laws. However, I also want
you to be able to share my games with your friends. So, please feel free to
hand on as many copies as you would like, as long as you include the original
BAT file and all of the document files.
If you are going to use SuprTrek for your personal enjoyment, whether you got
it from a distributor or a friend, please mail a check or money order to me at
the above address. The registration fee for SuprTrek is $10. I depend on
your registering to continue devoting full time to making fun to use programs
that don't require you to adapt to the program. I'd also like your comments
and suggestions. In exchange, I'll add your name to the list of those eligible
for updates, contests, and 24-hour technical support. If you wish, you may
use the registration form by typing PRINT SUPRTREK.REG at the DOS prompt.
Like many of my games, Super StarTrek is designed for full color with high
resolution Hercules, MDA, CGA, EGA, or VGA display adapters and should run on
most PC's and work alikes. SuprTrek also plays well in monochrome. If you
have any problems, let me know. There is a provision for disabling the game
sounds if you prefer the game to play quietly.
Super StarTrek has its own instructions which explain how the game plays
pretty well. As an extra note, the programs fancy sounds are designed for an
8 to 10 MHz machine. If yours runs a little slower you may find the sounds
more pleasant if you reset them while reading the directions. Oh, by the way,
in case you miss it, pressing the <TAB> key will speed up the program. The
<SHIFT><TAB> combination will slow things down so you have more chance to
shoot back.
You may copy the Super StarTrek files into any directory on hard disk or
another floppy. The only real requirement is that all of the files associated
with the game, except for its BAT file, must be in the same directory. You
may activate the program directly, with a batch file, or from ActMenu. If you
put Super StarTrek on your hard disk, you may have to adapt the BAT file for
your system.
Good luck, keep your shields up, and let me know if you enjoy Super StarTrek.
Your support for my programs is sincerely appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
P.S. Please retain the original BAT file if you are going to
pass Super StarTrek along.
