Hey go ahead and do what you like. I don't give a shit.
Author's Notes:
Well this being my sophmore effort in building a quake level, I tried to focus on
design rather than complexity. If you've played my first level Bc, you know what
I mean. It was full of traps, transporters, trains, and lifts. The design was
pretty Basic, hence it's name. I thought I'd go in the opposite direction
this time. The architecture is little more complex, but definately not up to
id standards. For my next project I'll try to remedy that.
About CheeseQuake:
You might be wondering what in hell is it? It's an editing system rather
than a whole editor. I couldn't wait for 3d editors to come out,so I built
some simple text ones to pass the time, and found that that they work rather
well.
Editors that I've made:
A simple brush editor
A room maker
2 door makers for x and y
3 arc makers for x,y,z planes used to make solid circles
3 ring maker for x,y,z used to make holes, tunnels, and roud walls
A spiral stair maker
A teleporter maker
4 angle brush editors- makes ramps, ans sloped surfaces
All of the editors are simple windows. You enter in the texture, max and
min coordinates, and out comes a brush. Just copy and paste it in your
favorite writing tool. Hopefully I release them soon. I'm writing
instructions right now. I don't know what good they'll do when compared
to the graphical editors, but Qbsp doesn't care if your map was made with
a text editor or a graphical one.
