  1.             Jewel Box Screen Savers for Windows

  4.      Stimulate your audio-visual senses with this interactive 
  5. screensaver with sound. Computer-simulated Jewels 'grow' on your screen,
  6. in the same manner as real crystals, from a virtual 'seed'. Watch them 
  7. grow on top of and beside each other, in infinite variety, from your 
  8. Musical 'Jewel Box'.

  12. FEATURES:

  14.    Interact:
  15. This Feature allows you to change the Screen Interactively by
  16. using the Arrow Keys.
  17.    The Up Arrow 'scrolls' the Screen up.
  18.    The Right Arrow 'splits' the Screen Horizontally.
  19.    The Down Arrow 'wipes' the Screen.
  20.    The Left Arrow 'splits' the Screen Vertically.
  21.    The Pause Button 'freezes' the Screen.
  22.    ( Press the Pause Button again to 'unfreeze' the Screen ).

  24.    Mouse:
  25. This Feature prevents Mouse movement from turning off the Screen
  26. Saver in case you have a 'jumpy' Mouse.

  28.    Sound:
  29. This Feature brings Sound into your Screen Saver experience.
  30. You must have a Midi-Capable Sound System for this feature to work.
  31. If you do not, the Sound Feature will be 'grayed out'.
  32. If you select the 'Random' Screen Saver and you have selected the 
  33. Sound Feature, a Volume Control will appear.

  38.     PALETTE:

  40.    Three Palette Options allow you to Customize the Individual Screen
  41. Savers with different Color Effects.
  42.    You must be in 256-Color Mode for the Palette Options to have any
  43. effect.( Jewel Box will tell you if you are in a different Color Mode).

  46.     SPEED:
  47.    The Speed may be adjusted individually for the Screen Savers.

  51. 'Random'.

  54.     IBM-PC or Compatible, 486 (486DX-66 or better recommended).
  55.     4 MB Ram (8 recommended).
  56.     256-color VGA or better recommended.
  57.     Windows 3.1 or above.

  68.     You must be in 256-Color Display Mode for Jewel Box 
  69.         screensavers to display at their best. The special Palette 
  70.         settings will not work in other color modes.
  71.     (Jewel Box SETUP will remind you if you are in the wrong Display 
  72.     Mode).

  74. TO INSTALL:
  75.  
  76.     From File Manager or Explorer, simply double-click on 
  77.     "setupjb.exe". Jewel Box will install itself. 
  78.                 OR
  79.     Pull down "File" in Program Manager and choose "Run". 
  80.     (For Windows 95 click on "Start" and choose "Run".)  
  81.     Find the directory where you unzipped Jewel Box, choose 
  82.     "setupjb.exe" and press [Enter].

  84.     JEWEL BOX will install itself into your \Windows directory. 
  85.     You will now find it in your Control Panel Screensavers 
  86.     section.
