Robots like the chainsaw-equipped Namreco 2000 last year's heavyweight champion, The Master, are classic asive machines. On the other extreme is the swift, tank-like gray. Somewhere in the middle lies The Mulcher, which S sts a hard, protective shell surrounding the ultimate b nsive weapon-a gas-powered lawnmower. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell exactly what category Blendie, the Blender robot, falls into. We were afforded only the briefest look before he was whisked off for weigh-in, although what we did see was a bit disheartening. Mr. Ferguson promises that we didn't really have time to appreciate Blendie's full capabilities. Still, we or an a little concerned.
