There are so many visitors to Box Hill each year that footpath erosion is a real problem. The North Downs Way near the viewpoint now has a hard covering of chippings. One solution might be to make all the main paths on Box Hill of hard materials like chippings or tarmac, particularly the walk up above Burford.
