Originally called M.H. brdige, it was built between 1933-37 to the designs of Gy⌡z⌡ Mihailich. It was blown up in 1945, reconstructed by M┴VAG in 1952 and it was renamed as pet⌡fi Bridge. It was modernized at the Pest end in 1980. Major was reconstruction was carried of in 1996.
