  1.                               How do you command PC-Hypertext?
  2.                               ================================

  4. PC Hypertext includes two kinds of commands -- listed and unlisted.
  5.  
  6. For the unlisted commands, toggle the F1 key to display the available
  7. keyboard (unlisted) commands.  Similar context-relevant keyboard listings
  8. are available at any point in the program.  For a permanent copy, press the
  9. Shift-PrtSc key to print a listing of the selected F1-key screens.
  10.  
  11. As for the listed commands, they are displayed on the lower lines of the
  12. screen which lists the eight available commands of PC Hypertext.  The
  13. currently selected command is highlighted with the description displayed
  14. on a subsequent line.
  15.  
  16. To select listed commands, use the:
  17.

  24. As for the commands themselves, they are described as:

  26. CURRENT            Press enter to select the topic marked by the current
  27. =======            cursor position.  The cursor topic (topic marked by the
  28.                    arrow on the right side of the display) becomes the
  29.                    node topic position (box on the left)
  30.  
  31.  
  32. GOTO               Command for shifting or displaying other locations in
  33. ====               the system, loading other files, and making calls to DOS
  34.                    or other programs.
  35.  
  36. HELP               Displays the keyboard guide to the MAIN menu (same as
  37. ====               pressing the F1 key).
  38.  
  39. MARKED             Displays a list of topics, files, or locations marked by
  40. ======             the F5 key.  Once on the marked list, the information
  41.                    can be selected for PRINTING or SAVED to a file named
  42.                    TRACE.HYP for further word processing.
  43.  
  44. OPTIONS            Displays the list of program options.  Outside of the
  45. =======            color setting, users can define how PC-Hypertext calls
  46.                    their word processor.  Program calls can contain
  47.                    multiple commands (separated by semi-colons).  Use "@"
  48.                    to stand for the current file name when creating such
  49.                    calls.

  51. QUIT               Exits the PC-Hypertext program after a yes (Y)
  52. ====               confirmation.
  53.  
  54. REFERENCE          Displays a file named REF that contains alternate ways
  55. =========          to reference the information in the system.
  56.  
  57. VERSION            Displays information about the current version of
  58. =======            PC-Hypertext.  Updated versions are released every few
  59.                    months.
