C) in the list. Special codes can be used:
%a = Appname %A = APPNAME&

< How often the task list and/or!
the memory graph are updated
Ctrl-Space enabled$
<! Defines Ctrl-Space to switch to$
<! Finder from other applications.
See also: `Tips'
Priority$
<! High priority improves handling&
<# of Ctrl-Space if Finder is in the#
< background. It does not affect#
< the performance of other tasks
Show Memory graph#
< Turns the memory graph on/off.!
The graph uses 6K of memory.!
See also: `The Memory graph'
Rename tasks$
<! Turn this option on if you want"
the tasks to be automatically"
renamed to the names of files
they are using.&
#You can assign a shortcut to a task&

& a case-sensitive letter or a number.%
" The `Shortcut' quick access mode$
! under `List options' must be on
"To assign, select a task and press
a shortcut key.
"To remove a shortcut, press Delete
or use `Remove shortcut'
"`AutoAssign' automatically assigns$
! shortcuts to tasks based on the

disk space taken up by files
The free memory figure is shown)
*& to the right of the graph. Note that'
*$ it is updated independently, when-$
*! ever the task list is refreshed
*$The graph is 120 pixels wide so that,
*) if the update interval is set to 1 min,+
*( it will show the activity for the past
* 2 hours$
!You can use `Rename task' to give
a task a new name
A task name, usually synonymous%
" with an application name, can be'
$ up to 8 characters long. It is not#
remembered after a task exits.$
! Renaming a task has no relation&
# to renaming a file stored on disk
!A task name does not always match#
the application name displayed%
"Closing task gives the application'
$ a chance to save files. This means'
$ that the task may continue running)
& for a while before it actually exits+
(Killing a task is potentially dangerous,(
% because the target application does#
NOT get a chance to save files
'It is safe to Kill applications that do&
# not use files (Calc, for example)
This option is equivalent to the%
