  9. What is it?

  12.  You are on an alien planet. Twenty years ago it was designated as the
  13.  dumping ground for the most dangerous artificial intelligence
  14.  operated machines known to mankind.
  15.  
  16.  Two months ago the planet's security radars picked up an unidentified
  17.  tank, which was systematically turning each machine back on!
  18.  
  19.  The military have been banned from using nuclear weapons so they have
  20.  ordered the best assasin they have to resolve this potentialy fatal, 
  21.  effectively leathal situtation.
  22.  
  23.  Your mission is to stop these machines from destroying each other or
  24.  anything else. The highest priority are the battle tanks which are capable
  25.  of extreme damage and therefore must be terminated first.
  26.  
  27.  You have been equipped with the latest computer assisted battle tank, 
  28.  in which you must accomplish the whole mission. Any damage it recieves 
  29.  will be repaired by a team of engineers at the end of each level, if
  30.  you survive. Good Luck!

  53.  The Play area is your window into the 3d world.

  55.  Information such as shield level and the amount of tanks remaining is
  56.  displayed in the Info window.

  58.  Your tank's on-board computer displays information in the status window.
  59.  
  60.  The Map window contains a rough map of the surrounding objects, enemy
  61.  tanks are shown as big dots, anything else as small dots.
  62.  When all enemy tanks are out of firing range the display is a long
  63.  range radar type. If an enemy tank comes within firing range the map
  64.  display automatically switches to a close combat mode. In this mode all
  65.  objects inside the V in the centre of the display are visible from your
  66.  turret.

  90. Controls
  91. --------
  92.  Use the Left/Right cursor keys to rotate your tank, holding the Psion 
  93.  key down will increase the rotation speed.
  94.  Use the cursor Up/Down keys to speed Up/Down.
  95.  Press Space to launch a missile.
  96.  Pressing Control and Cursor Left/Right/Up/Down will rotate your tank's 
  97.  turret. ie. Ctrl+Left = Left view, Ctrl+Down = Rear view.
  98.  The default view at the start of each game is the Front view (Ctrl+Up)

  104. How to install using MCLINK:
  105. ----------------------------

  107.  1) Make a temporary directory on your PC.
  108.  2) CD into it.
  109.  3) Plug your Series3/A into the PC and make sure MCLINK connects correctly.
  110.     (If it doesn't, try changing the port parameters using SET inside MCLINK)
  111.  4) Unzip the file S3TANK.ZIP.
  112.  5) Type MCLINST, and press return.
  113.  6) Install Tank.opa on the Series3/A.

  115. How to modify the MCLINK install:
  116. ---------------------------------

  118.  MCLINST.BAT will run MCLINK in batch mode and copy all the files that are
  119.  needed into REM::M:\TANK\
  120.  
  121.  You can change the batch file to copy to another drive ie. A: or B: but don't 
  122.  change the directory. 
  123.  S3Tank looks for its files in a \TANK directory on all SSDs in this order:
  124.  M:, A: and then B:

  128. How to install using RFM:
  129. -------------------------

  131.  1) Make a temporary directory on your PC.
  132.  2) CD into it.
  133.  3) Plug your Series3/A into the PC and make sure it connects correctly.
  134.  4) Unzip the file S3TANK.ZIP.
  135.  5) Type RFMINST, and press return.
  136.  6) Install Tank.opa on the Series3/A.

  138. Note: 
  139.  The batch file tries to make the directories \TANK and \APP. If they
  140.  already exist the MKDIR command will fail. Don't worry, the batch file
  141.  will just continue to copy the files.

  144. How to modify the RFM install:
  145. ---------------------------------
  146.  
  147.  You may need to change the PORT and BAUD settings in the batch file to 
  148.  match your system. Check with the RFM manual about how to do this.
  149.  
  150.  RFMINST.BAT will run RFM and copy all the files that are needed into 
  151.  M:\TANK\ on the connected Series3/A
  152.  
  153.  You can change the batch file to copy to another drive ie. A: or B: by
  154.  changing the USE command on the first line of the batch file.
