  5. Operating instructions

  8. Load smArt by double-clicking on the !smArt icon.
  9.  
  10. Load a smArt file by either double clicking on its icon or dragging the icon
  11. onto the smArt icon on the icon bar.
  12.  
  13. Parts of the picture can be changed by either:
  14.  
  15. 1. Moving the pointer into the smArt window, pressing the Menu button, and
  16.    choosing from the 'Objects' submenu
  17.  
  18. 2. Clicking the Select button over an object and choosing from the menu.
  19.  
  20.  
  21. Full view and Zoom
  22. ==================

  24. By default Full view is selected. This ensures that the complete picture is
  25. always seen. To magnify the picture: deselect Full view and then use the
  26. Zoom facility. Alternatively, you may zoom using the up and down arrow keys.
  27. 'Home' restores the magnification to 1:1.

  30. Saving
  31. ======

  33. In the complete version of smArt a picture may be saved as a Draw file.

  39. Most of the files supplied with this demo disc have been selected from the
  40. examples which are supplied with the smArt application. The following are
  41. taken from individual discs of smArt files which are available as separate
  42. items:
  43.  
  44.        Aliens   - a reduced file from the "Aliens" pack
  45.        Fashion  - a reduced file from the "Fashion" pack
  46.        Torosaur - one of seven files in the "Dinosaurs" pack
  47.        Beach    - one of the files in the "Leisure" pack

  50. The smArt Suite
  51. ===============

  53. The smArt suite consists of a set of packages which are available as separate items:

  55. 1. smArt - the smArt application with 26 example files
  56.  
  57. 2. smArtFiler - an application allowing you to create your own smArt files
  58.  
  59. 3. smArt files - individual packs containing files of a thematic nature
  60.  
  61. Some of the smArt files are available in other languages.
