- It's not a help file in the usual way, because I'll not explain the
- chess rules. (Look at the Documantation directory)
-
- Using Gnu Chess is very easy double click on the file. In the case
- you have enough ram, at least 2MB for the original version else if
- you don't bother to lose some strength 760k + 128k spritearea, it
- will start up under the CLI. This has two reasons. The first
- is that Gnu Chess is thinking when you are thinking about your next
- move. And the second it would take too much time for me to program
- the Window environment with the Unixlib and to include it in the
- Gnu Chess code. ( By the way it is compiled with gcc 2.4.5, linked with
- Drlink 0.24 and maked with my own Gnu make 3.68 but it's not working
- quiet well ( where is the gcc debugger ?). I used Virtual too.)
- So think what you want to think about me :-).
-
- After starting up Gnu Chess will ask you for the time you want to allow
- for one or several moves. After this you will see the chessboard and
- you could start to play. Type 'help' now or any time later to see the
- commands you are allowed to use.
-
- I hope this program will be of any use.
-
-
- Please forgive me my very bad english but I thought it would be better then
- nothing.
-
- See you
- Stefan
