  14. The object of the game
  15. ----------------------
  16. If you can't work out the object of this game, then you're not worthy of the
  17. Archimedes. I can't be bothered to explain it in minute and nauseous detail.

  19. Notes

  21. At present, the only material which can be used to build indestructible
  22. bricks is a rather strange semi-magnetic, semi-compressible, striped
  23. compound. This may cause the ball to behave in strange ways, but scientists
  24. are working on it and may soon have genuinely solid, indestructible bricks.
  25. Watch this space for details!

  27. The game is controlled entirely by the mouse.

  29. I know it can get a bit jerky at times (especially if you don't have
  30. MEMC1a). If you would like to translate some more of the game into ARM code
  31. then feel free to do so - there may be a small prize for the first person to
  32. send me a (mostly) ARM code version.

  36. Don't forget to look out for my other PD software, currently:

  38. !BackGrd - a sticky backdrop program that doesn't crash all the time!
  39. (unlike one I could mention!) Supports multiple backdrop states for
  40. different purposes, multiple drags to the backdrop from Filer windows,
  41. replacing dull grey background with a sprite, works in any Mode etc... (nb.
  42. this is ShareWare - the best version is available for £5 from me. THAT
  43. version has many enhancements which enhance its usability. Why not get a
  44. copy and find out exactly what they are?

  46. StickyConv - converts the saved state of the PD program !StickyBD into a
  47. backdrop file suitable for use with !BackGrd (any version).

  49. !WordSqure - solves wordsquare puzzles. Just type in the wordsquare (the
  50. boring bit), then just type in each word and the Arc will find it in just a
  51. couple of seconds! (I guarantee, unless the puzzle is VERY easy, it's still
  52. easier to type it into the Arc than solve it by hand. Wordsquares can be
  53. saved to disc for later use, if necessary).

  55. !Pypes - a game of strategy and quick thinking. Try to contain the gunge
  56. that flows from an outlet on the tiled board by placing pipes on the grid
  57. for it to flow through. A mouse controlled version of the classic game. Now
  58. extra graphics and almost instantaneous response to the mouse add even more
  59. to this highly acclaimed PD game.

  61. !FileFind - finds files buried in the directory structure of a disc. Other
  62. programs are around that can do this, but can they search in the background
  63. (ie. without tying up the machine), search specified paths only to speed up
  64. search time, work with ANY filing system, perform any action on the files it
  65. finds and do all this without the use of the !System folder? I doubt it.
  66. (This one can, in case you were wondering!)

  68. !IconClk3d - a digital clock that sits on the icon bar. It uses a
  69. custom-designed 3D font and looks superb.

  71. !DuckHunt - you know !DeskDuck? Well, here's your chance to express your
  72. deepest feelings towards the duck by shooting it! (Features digitized stereo
  73. sound)

  75. You should be able to get all of the above programs from the PD libraries.
  76. If not, send me a disc of PD and an SAE and I'll copy any of those programs
  77. you want onto it and send it back. (Sorry I can't be more helpful than that
  78. - I'm not a PD library and can't afford to send out discs for free!)
