  4. !Resources is for all Acorn 32 bit machines with RiscOS 3. It allows you to
  5. add files to the ROM Resources filer. The application creates a module which
  6. may be loaded up to insert the desired files into anywhere in the Resource
  7. filing system.

  10.      How to make it work?
  11.      ====================
  12.  
  13. Double click on the !Resources icon. The program will need 112k. When the
  14. !Resources icon appears on the icon bar click on it. A window will pop up
  15. with 1 module icon and 4 ROM Apps icons. Firstly drag the desired file to go
  16. into the Resource filer on to one of the ROM Apps icons or onto one of the
  17. white boxes underneath the word 'File'. The file will appear in the white
  18. box. Then drag the ROM apps icon from this window to a directory in the
  19. Resource filer. You may do this with three other files. Then fill in the box
  20. which is labelled 'Module name :-' if you wish to change the module name
  21. from 'ResFiles' allowing you to have more modules running at the same time.
  22. Drag the module icon at the top of the window to a disc to save the module.

  24. Holding down Alt then clicking on a white box will clear its contents. Any
  25. pair of boxes with one box which is not filled in will not be included in
  26. the module.

  29.      Hints on how to make the best use of this program
  30.      =================================================

  32. There is only enough space for 4 files so to make the best use of this if
  33. you wish to put more files into the Resource filer is to   
  34. a) Carefully arrange all your files in to a directory on a disk and then
  35. drop this into a slot in the window          or...  
  36. b) Use the icon at the bottom of the window to make modules with different
  37. names each time (i.e. mod1, mod2 etc.) and to save them to disk with a
  38. different name by altering the icon at the top (e.g. ResFS1, ResFS2 etc.).

  40. The application can only create modules with a total file space of the
  41. amount of memory free on your computer  so if you wish to put a large
  42. file/application in to the Resource filer make sure you have adequate memory
  43. to make your module. If the program runs out of memory it will simply stop
  44. the process and create a module with the files it has already created in the
  45. module.
