  4. This program is Shareware.
  5. This means that you can copy this program to anyone you like, but if you
  6.    find the program useful, you should register, as explained below. This
  7.    entitles you to the latest version of this program, and of all my other
  8.    applications.
  9. If you do copy the program it should be in its original format, with ALL of

  20. Purpose
  21. -------
  22. To remove any leading or trailing spaces from a text file.
  23.

  25. To use
  26. ------
  27.    Double click on the icon in the filer window, to load the program. This
  28. will install an icon on the icon bar. From here, dragging a file onto the
  29. icon will open a save window. Enter a filename, or just press RETURN to
  30. overwrite the original file, or drag the icon onto a filer window. If the
  31. file dragged onto the icon is not a text file (type &FFF), then a window
  32. will open, asking whether you are sure you wish to remove the trailing
  33. spaces from that file. Selecting 'YES' will continue the process, and
  34. selecting 'NO' will close the window with no further action being taken. The
  35. program should work fine on any plain ASCII file, e.g. Obey, Command. If in
  36. doubt abort the operation - you never know what might happen!!
  37.    Pressing the middle button on the icon on the icon bar will open a menu,
  38. allowing you to get information about the program, to set options and to
  39. quit the program.
  40.    The options which can be set determine whether the program is to remove
  41. leading spaces, trailing spaces, or both, from the file. To set them, simply
  42. move across to the window, from the menu, and click on which ones you wish
  43. to be done. If the blue shape is there then the option is set. To update the
  44. options, click on the OK icon.
  45.    N.B. If the same input and output name is given, the program will need to
  46. have the system variable '<Wimp$ScrapDir>' set. This can be done by
  47. double-clicking on a copy of !System or !Scrap, available from any Acorn
  48. dealer, if you don't have a copy.
  49.    When the process is finished, a window will open showing you the size of
  50. the file before and after the process.
  51.    This program also supports interactive help.

  62. To register, send £5 to me, at the address shown below, stating what version
  63. of which programs you have. You can enclose your own disk for the programs,
  64. and if you do so you can deduct 50p from the price. Registering entitles you
  65. to upgrade to later versions of the same programs and to get new programs
  66. for the price of £1. Any additional contributions from overseas towards
  67. postage would be greatly appreciated.
