  1. !Help for !Clean Up application

  4. !CleanUp simply does what it says -- it cleans up the desktop. (In ways)
  5. It will currently:
  6.  
  7.         ° Clear all the modules in RMA
  8.         ° Re-initialise the sound modules
  9.         ° Re-initialise the voices
  10.         ° Make Channel 1 the first voice
  11. and     ° Re-set the desktop with a normal system font.
  12.  
  13. The CleanFile config file can be altered, but do NOT change the name, or where it is.
  14. How to change the config file:

  17. Drag the 'CleanFile' file to the !Edit icon. (!Edit must have already been loaded)
  18. This is what should come up first time:
  19.  
  20. YNNNN
  21. That stands for:
  22.  
  23. Y -- Desktop font re-set
  24. N -- RMA modules cleared. (*RMClear)
  25. N -- WaveSynth, StringLib, and Percussion voices re-initialised
  26. N -- Sound modules re-initialised: SoundDMA, SoundChannels, SoundScheduler
  27. N -- Channel 1 allocated to voice 1
  28.  
  29. Replace any one of them with a Y or an N.
  30. It MUST be in upper-case, and no other letters or symbols may be used. (It won't corrupt anything, it just won't work)
  31. Note:- Be careful if you put a Y for the "RMA modules cleared", it can clear modules that applications are using, and crash!
  32. To clean up the desktop, simply click on the CleanUp icon on the iconbar.
  33. !Clean Up will also stay on the iconbar, so you don't have to load it again. (Note:- It will not stay on the iconbar after a reset, or power-off)
  34. It might be a good idea to include it in your !Boot file. (RISC OS 3)
  35. This program is RISC OS 2 compatible, and probably compatible with RISC OS 3.
