On a previous disc, there was an application called walk, this is essentially the same as that except, this version is more customiseable, and works on the desktop, so you don't have to sit and watch the computer make the fractal while doing nothing else, now you can close the window down, and if there is an appreciable speed reduction from installing the program, this can be significantly reduced by using the control window available from the icon bar icon's menu
From the 'Control' window you can alter the dots on the page, alter the x & y of the centre circle alter the redraw rate (the number of dots placed before a screen redraw is forced) the size of the centre circle the speed of the fractal generation - this affects the desktop's performance the colours can also be altered to you taste.
The way the DLA - Diffusion limited aggregate Fractal works is this:
A dot is started on he centre circle and walks randomly about until there is a coloured pixel next to it, because of the nature of the fractal, is is slower than other fractals and it takes up more memory than most - because information on the colour of 81920 dots must be known the memory usage of the program is 352k
