  2. Read_Me file for Integrex printers.

  5. The "Integrex.Coljet132" printer definition file
  6. is for use with the  Integrex Colourjet 132
  7. printer. This definition is unlikely to work with
  8. any other printer, unless the printer provides an
  9. Integrex Colourjet 132 emulation mode. ISO Latin 1
  10. text character mappings are provided, using the
  11. unusual selection of top bit set characters
  12. available on the Colourjet 132. Backspace
  13. overprinting is not used, as the Colourjet 132
  14. cannot backspace. The range of fancy text
  15. highlights supported is reasonable. There are only
  16. three graphics resolutions, and the highest one
  17. (160 by 252 DPI) is unlikely to be useful since it
  18. is very slow and it tends to put too much ink onto
  19. the paper.

  21. Note that you need firmware revision 9.14 or later
  22. in your Colourjet 132 or you may encounter
  23. problems with text printing. To check your
  24. firmware revision, switch the printer on while
  25. holding down the LF button. Contact Integrex if
  26. you need a firmware upgrade.

  28. The "Integrex.ColJet2000" printer definition file
  29. is for use with the Integrex Colourjet 2000
  30. printer. The range of fancy text highlights is
  31. limited on this printer. The ISO Latin 1 text
  32. character mappings are good since the printer is
  33. HP PaintJet compatible and therefore has most of
  34. the Latin 1 character set built in. There are only
  35. two graphics resolutions (90 and 180 DPI) but both
  36. of them are perfectly usable.

  38. There is a problem with graphics printing on the
  39. Colourjet 2000 with firmware revision 1.02.
  40. Sometimes the output on the paper is inverted ie.
  41. black prints as white and vice versa. If this
  42. happens, press Escape (to stop printing) and
  43. switch the printer off and back on again. Print
  44. your document again. This time it will probably be
  45. printed correctly. To check your firmware
  46. revision, switch the printer on while holding down
  47. the LF button. If you think you need a firmware
  48. upgrade you should contact Integrex.

  50. The Colourjet 2000 functions better when driven
  51. exclusively as an HP PaintJet compatible printer.
  52. You should check with your dealer or third party
  53. software vendors about availability of software to
  54. drive the printer in this manner.
