!Convert Help for Version 1.1
-----------------------------
By Andrew Brian
History
-------
v0.4/ This version of !Convert was not
Multitasking and used the F keys
for conversion selection.
v0.8/ This was the first try I had at
a desktop version of !Convert,
and it failed !
v1.0/ This version didn't use Interface
3D boxes.
v1.1/ This version, which uses Interface
for 3D boxes.
Future Version
--------------
v1.2/ To support more Conversions.
Instructions
------------
Once loaded, to start !Convert, you
need to click on it's icon on the icon
bar.
In the top box (the yellow one) inside
the Convert window, you enter the
conversion that you want to do. This can
be done in two ways. One way is to :
Click in this box, and type in, in lower
case letters, the conversion Code which
you want performed. You can ONLY type
things into this box if they are shown on
one of the submenus. To see these menus,
press MENU inside the Convert window, and
follow across to view them. Eg. to
!Convert centimetres to inches, you MUST
type : cm-inch (as shown on the submenu
Length. Also, you must use (as the
submenus show) the SINGULAR form of the
measurement names ALL THE TIME.
The other (better) way is to press MENU
and bring up the appropriate submenu, and
then click with SELECT on the menu
option which you want to use. (!Convert
then fills in the top (yellow) box for
you.)
Next, you enter the number of measurement
units to be converted, into the left box
(the orange one). Eg. to work out how
many inches 3 centimetres would be, you'd
type ' cm-inch ' into the top box, and
' 3 ' into the left box. To do the
Conversion, just click on the bottom
button, which is labelled 'CONVERT'.

----------------
This program uses the WIMP procedure library,
published and written by Archimedies World.
Thankyou very much Archimedies World for this
excellent procedure library, without it this
program would not exist. The Procedure Library
is not PD. The Interface Manager is Public
Domain and is not part of !Convert.
Copying Info
------------
This software is Shareware. It is not public
Domain. You may however copy it to people
for them to evaluate it, as long as you do not
do so for any profit, and that the application
is kept intact and unchanged. Use after one
week means you should pay a fee, as detailed
below. If you run a PD library, you may
distribute !Convert, making sure to include
the Help file and the main application.
VERY IMPORTANT
--------------
From the day when you recieved !Convert,
you have 7 days (this is a trial period),
to decide whether you find !Convert
useful or not. If you do want to use it
after the trial period, follow instruction
(a) below. If you don't, then that's fine,
but you should follow instruction (b) below.
a) Register your copy with me.
This costs £3, and you will get support
and free upgrades as detailed when you
register, and you will be given
permission by me to use !Convert, and
I will add you to my Database of !Convert
users. See below for where and who to
send the cheque to.
b) You should destroy/erase all copies you
have of !Convert.
If you want to continue using !Convert after
the 1 week trial time, you SHOULD register.
