  1. DemConfig 1.2 - Configure Internet software for use with Demon

  5. This program is designed to ease the configuration of !TCPIP, !NewsBase,
  6. !TTFN and !SLIPdial for use with a dial-up line to Demon.  It provides
  7. a single window into which you enter the details of your system, then
  8. configures each of the applications accordingly.  When running it, it is
  9. a good idea to run Acorn's !Help application to give additional
  10. information about the settings to be entered.

  12. Each of the above applications has many options and settings which you
  13. may want to modify or "tune" when you are more familiar with things.
  14. !DemConfig attempts to give you some default settings which should be
  15. adequate to allow you to get started.

  17. For more details, see the file docs.StarterFAQ which you should have
  18. received with this program in the Acorn Starter Pack.  Each of the
  19. applications has its own documentation which you would be advised to
  20. read in full or in part, particularly if you encounter any problems.

  22. This version DemConfig has been tested with !TCPIP 2.04, !TTFN 0.36,
  23. !Newsbase 0.54h, !SLIPdial 0.34d, Serial drivers rev.10a and the demon
  24. SLIPdial script 1.5.  Whether it works with later versions of these
  25. items is unknown.  However, I intend to update !DemConfig from time to
  26. time in conjunction with the Starter Pack (maintained by Dr Alan
  27. Hassey).
