Long description:
Well after four of the last seven months with my computer in the repair
shop, my Amiga 4000 is now working again. So I have started making more
Rachel picures. When my drawing speed has increased I will be trying
some 2-D animation (Eric Schwartz is putting on the pressure). In the
mean time I have produced a 6 meg anim in HAM-8 called "Pencil Chase"
using Imagine which might eventually make it to the networks.
These pictures are in overscanned hires-interlace NTSC mode and are
provided in 256, 16, and 8 color versions so you can use them for your
Workbench backdrop pictures if you have Workbench 3.0 or if you have
Workbench 2.x and use NickPrefs or Tapete to put a picture in the
background of your workbench screen. The colors are arranged so that at
least on Workbench 2.x you will have standard looking titlebars and
menues. The 256 color picture would be best on a 256 color Workbench
screen under Workbench 3.0 if it is reduced to 128 colors first with
Art Department Pro or Rend24.
I used the programs "Imagine 2" to do the logo, "Scenery Animator" to
draw the clouds, and "DPaint 4.6" to draw Rachel Raccoon and paste the
backgrounds into the picture.
The 8-color conversions of these pictures and the color remapping were
done by Darren Ewaniuk.
My pictures, in chronological order, are:

Included for your enjoyment is the picture of Rachel Raccoon done by
Eric Schwartz, after I met him at AmiJAM in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
this spring (1993) where I attended his animation workshop and seminar.
While there, Eric showed his best animation yet, of Amy the Squirrel in
"A Walk in the Park". It was a 25 MEG monster, but worth every byte.
I'm anxiously awaiting the release of it (he's selling it only as a
videotape, for obvious reasons...).
Eric's picture is Copyright (C) 1993 by Eric Schwartz.
(ps. I doctored the palette to Rachel's colors)
