  5. From version 3.1 QuickFile uses a new format for definition and view
  6. files. It will read the old versions but if saved, they will be written in
  7. the new format which cannot be read by previous versions of the program.

  9. If you are an existing user of an earlier version, be careful that you do
  10. not overwrite any of your existing views or definitions until you are sure
  11. that the new version meets your requirements.

  13. If you open the demo databases from the project icons, you may need to
  14. change to paths for the external programs. Use Alter on the Project
  15. definition to do this. They will all work correctly if you start the
  16. program from the QuickFile icon.
