  8. The IR-Master package consists of two software parts and a
  9. control hardware which is plugged to the joystickport of
  10. your Amiga. With this equipment almost any device shipped
  11. with an IR remote can be controlled by your Amiga.
  12.  
  13. At first you edit a virtual IR remote with the IR-Editor.
  14. Then this project is saved to disk an launched with the
  15. IR-Runner. The number of active IR-Runners is not limited.
  16.  
  17. You can use the IR-Runner either interactively or control
  18. it via ARexx from other applications or even programm it
  19. using ARexx scripts.
  20.  
  21. There are also some optional (send-only) hardwares:

  23. One is connected to the (internal) parallel port of the
  24. Amiga and carries up to eight IR senders. This eight
  25. channels can be selectively used by the IR-Master.
  26.  
  27. Another optional hardware is designed for the audio-port.
  28. Here, the sending of IR commands uses DMA with the
  29. advantage not to block the system for a moment.

  31. With IR-Master 3.20 a new hardware for the (internal)
  32. serial port of the Amiga is introduced.

  34. LControl and other applications to control video cameras
  35. and players are supported directly since version 2.5 of the
  36. IR-Master.

  41. Das IR-Master-Paket besteht aus zwei Software-Komponenten
  42. und einer Steuerhardware, die an den Joystickport
  43. angeschlossen wird. Damit kann annähernd jedes Gerät, das
  44. mit einer InfraRot-Fernbedienung ausgerüstet ist, über den
  45. Amiga gesteuert werden.

  47. Zunächst wird mit dem IR-Editor eine "virtuelle"
  48. Fernbedienung erstellt. Diese wird dann abgespeichert und
  49. mit dem IR-Runner gestartet. Es können beliebig viele
  50. IR-Runner gleichzeitig laufen.

  52. Den IR-Runner können Sie dann entweder interaktiv benutzen,
  53. über ARexx von andern Programmen aus steuern oder über
  54. Skripts programmieren.

  56. Optional zu der Steuerhardware am Joystickport gibt es noch
  57. eine Hardware am Parallelport, die bis zu 8 Sendeeinheiten
  58. ansteuern kann. Die 8 Kanäle und die Masterhardware am
  59. Joystickport können vom IR-Master aus getrennt oder
  60. beliebig gemischt angesteuert werden.

  62. Neu ist auch die optionale Ausgabehardware am Audio-Ausgang
  63. des Amiga. Die Ausgabe wird mit Hilfe von DMA realisiert,
  64. wodurch kein lästiges Zucken des Mauszeigers beim Senden
  65. erfolgt.

  67. Ab der Version 3.20 ist auch eine Ausgabe am (internen)
  68. seriellen Port des Amiga möglich.

  70. LControl und andere spezielle Programme zum steuern von
  71. Videokameras werden ab der Version 2.5 des IR-Masters
  72. direkt unterstützt.
