COMP.SYS.AMIGA.REVIEWS
Index Of Reviews And Other Articles
Last modified August 7, 1995
------ New Reviews This Month ------
Sony Trinitron Multiscan 17sf monitor
------ End Of New Review List ------
This is the index of all products that have been reviewed in
comp.sys.amiga.reviews, and all of the administrative articles which are
posted at the beginning of every month. All of these these documents are
available by anonymous FTP from
math.uh.edu
where they are found in the directory
pub/Amiga/comp.sys.amiga.reviews
or via WWW/Mosaic at the address
ftp://math.uh.edu/pub/Amiga/comp.sys.amiga.reviews
If you do not know how to use FTP nor Mosaic, ask your local computer
systems staff for help. If it is not possible to use FTP and Mosaic at your
site, you may request copies of these reviews by e-mail. To request one or
more of the reviews, simply send e-mail to
amiga-reviews-requests@math.uh.edu
Please ask for the reviews by NAME and FILENAME, and please include your own
e-mail address (in case your letter's return address gets corrupted). Note
that this is not a "ListServ" but a live human being (me). :-)
In the following index, product reviews are listed in the following
format:
Product name
Vendor: <Name of the author or company>
Keywords: <Helpful words that describe the kind of product>
Date: <Date of the review>
Reviewer: <The reviewer's name>
Filename: <Name of the file on math.uh.edu containing the review.
If there are several reviews of the same product, they
are listed chronologically, and the filenames have a
number appended: e.g., Name, Name_2, Name_3, etc.>
The product name may be followed by:
(MINI-REVIEW) Indicates that this is a "mini" review, not a full
review.
(SURVEY REVIEW) Indicates that this is a comparison or an opinion
survey about a group of related products.
(MOD REVIEW) Indicates that this is a review of a music module or
"mod".
(FOLLOWUP) Indicates that this is an update to a previous review
also found in our archives.
Each file may be found in two directories: the one given in the
"Filename" field, or the "all" subdirectory which contains copies of every
review file (for the convenience of downloaders who don't want to jump from
directory to directory).
SPECIAL HINT: Some of the filenames in the archives are long
because they are supposed to be descriptive. To avoid typing in the whole
filename to transfer a file, I suggest you use ftp's "mget" command so you
can use wildcards to match the names of the files you want. See your ftp
documentation to learn about the "mget" and "prompt" commands.
If you would like to write a review, read the monthly "Introduction
to comp.sys.amiga.reviews" article posted in comp.sys.amiga.reviews. You
may obtain this article by FTP (in the "doc" subdirectory) or by requesting
it by e-mail, as above.
