- Preface
- =======
-
- This program is the first in a row of electronic-applications,
- if you have suggestions or remarks about the program you can contact
- the author:
-
- Van den Broeck Wim
- Watertorenstraat 66
- B-2560 Nijlen
- BELGIUM
-
- Filters 1.2 requires AmigaDOS Release 2(Kickstart & Workbench 2.0) or
- higher to run.
-
- This program is SHAREWARE, it may be freely distributed without costs
- but if you want to support me in developping better software please
- send me 10$. thanks.

- 1. Introduction
- ===============
-
- "Filters" is based on the study-material of H.I.K. BELGIUM.
- The author is a senior-student at the college: 2d year, Electronics option
- Microprocessors.
-
- All the formulas included are complete and there where no
- shortcuts taken !!!
-
-
- 2. The purpose of "Filters"
- ===========================
-
- "Filters" can be used by anyone who is in the electronic-
- business and must develop a network of RC-filters wich by meaning:
- including or excluding certain High- or Low-frequences.
-
-
- 3. How to use
- =============
-
- To enter a value you click on the value-gadget, ENTER, than the
- EXP-gadget will be activated.
-
- If you want to enter more than one value use the TAB key to
- jump to the next gadget !!!
-
-
- a.network
- ---------
- Network allows you to select a High-pass network or a Low-
- pass network. The difference is the place of R and C (they
- switch).
-
- High-pass : High frequences may pass
- Low-pass : Low frequences may pass
-
-
- b.plot
- ------
- There are two functions with each network: amplitude-plot and
- phase-plot.
-
- Amplitude-plot : gives you the amplification-values that comes
- with each frequency (dB).
-
- Phase-plot : gives you the phase-transfer (degrees).
-
-
- c.frequency limits
- ------------------
- If you don't know the meaning of this box, you better go on
- and play "Lemmings 2".
-
- d.rc values
- -----------
- All the values are split in two parts, the EXP means
- multiplied with 10 power -> ?? .
-
- example: 10,000 Ohm
-
- can be 10 EXP 3
- or 100 EXP 2
- or 10000 EXP 0
-
- e.calculate
- -----------
- This option lets you calculate the values of Ampl and Phase
- for a 'specific' frequency.
-
- The values will update each time you ENTER a new value in one
- of the gadgets.
-
-
-
- 4. Bugs fixed
- =============
-
- bug #01: A zero phase over the whole range wasn't possible in
- filters 1.0, there was a system-crash.
-
-
- If you find any bugs, please let me know so I can fix them.
-
-
-
- 5. Machine used
- ===============
-
- Filters 1.0 was created using:
-
- Commodore Amiga 4000/040
- FPU, MMU, Workbench 3.0, 6 Mb ram.
-
-
- if you have any problems using the program on other
- systems please let me know !
-
- 6. Updates
- ==========
-
- In Filters 1.2 it is possible to print the Graphics.
-
-
-
- -RC -filters 1.2 - written by Wim Van den Broeck (thanks to Luc De Keyser
- for the beta-testing and suggestions for the
- program. Also thanks to ir. F. De Schutter for
- the lecture and documentation, further thanks to
- Wim Van Goethem for his books and his source code).

-
-
-
- Thanks to the commodore AMIGA for being the best computer ever !!!
-
- Intel stinks, AMIGA rules.
