  3. The command menus for this system may be displayed as one large menu,
  4. or broken down into MAIN, MSG, and FILE. If you chose to display 3
  5. separate menus, you can move to any section menu by entering 'F' for
  6. FILE, 'M' for MSG, or '.' (period) for MAIN.
  7.  
  8. NOTE: Except for [S]earch, ALL these commands work the same under any
  9. menu. You can (for instance) [R]ead messages from the MAIN or FILE
  10. menus, or change [Y]our parameters from the MSG or FILE menus.
  11.  
  12. There is some "chaining" of commands allowed, for example;
  13.  
  14.   "Read All New"     or "r a n"   to read all new messages.
  15.   "Search Files iff" or "s f iff" to search files for "IFF".
  16.   "Alpha 7"          or "a 7"     to display file library 7.
  17.   "Library 42"       or "l 42"    AmigaDOS format library 42.

  45.  A  display the full library filelist sorted alphabetically.
  46.      You may also display only the files in the current library.
  47.  
  48.  B  Browse the detailed file descriptions in the current library,
  49.      or in all the file libraries. You may also elect to have the
  50.      descriptions archived (in the background) for later download.

  52.        Browse Menu:

  54.             an "Empty" RETURN displays the next file description
  55.         34  a number alone will display that file number's description.
  56.          C  displays contents of .arc .dms .lha .lzh .zip or .zoo files.
  57.          D  download (see download menu below)
  58.          E  if you uploaded this file, you are allowed to edit the
  59.              file description at any time. (see editor commands)
  60.          K  if you uploaded this file, you may delete it at any time.
  61.          L  sysops may rename a file and/or move it to a new Library.
  62.          N  displays file descriptions one after another without pausing.
  63.          M  mark this file to be included in the next download.
  64.          R  Read a textfile. The filename must end in ".txt".
  65.          Q  stop browsing and return to the main menus.
  66.          ?  displays the browse menu command summary.
  67.  
  68.  C  leave a Comment for the sysop. Preloads the editor with email to the
  69.      sysop, "Subject: FEEDBACK".

  71.  D  Download menu. You are asked for a list of filenames and/or numbers.

  73.        Download Menu:

  75.          A  starts download & automatically logs off after last transfer.
  76.          D  starts download of currently displayed file(s) using the
  77.              currently selected transfer protocol.
  78.          T  change transfer protocol
  79.          Q  quit downloading

  85.          F  find email From you to other users. A list is displayed of
  86.              all pending email from you. You may then edit your choice.
  87.          T  find and read email To you from other users. If a file is
  88.              attached to a message, you will given the opportunity to
  89.              download it.
  90.          W  Write email to another user. User must exist on this BBS!
  91.              AFTER writing your message, you can upload a private file
  92.              to be attached to this message. (see upload menu)

  94.               Write Mail Menu:

  96.                  E  load this file into the online editor.
  97.                  K  kill (delete) this message.
  98.                  S  send this message.
  99.                  Q  quit. Abort message writing.

  102.  F  from FILE or ALL (single menu), display the Filelist archiver menu.
  103.      You may make archives of one-line or full file descriptions for any
  104.      or all file libraries, just follow the prompts.

  106.     from MSG or MAIN (multiple menus), display the FILES menu.
  107.      You can [D]ownload from ANY menu (if you know the filename) since the
  108.        BBS will search through all file libraries looking for that file.
  109.      To change the file area, use the [L]ist command.
  110.      List <library-number> will list all files.
  111.      <library-number> by itself will list all NEW files.

  113.  FL add/delete/view your "Friends" list. A shorthand way to write email.

  115.  G  Goodbye. Logoff this BBS. Hangup. Adios. Aloha.

  117.  H  HELP. Display the main commands summary.

  119.  I  Information. Displays a list of text files available for reading
  120.      while you are online. These are files of general interest and
  121.      humor as well as detailed HELP and SYSTEM_INFO.

  123.  J  Jump to the rexxDoorways area. Various rexx games and diversions.

  125.  L  List Libraries. This command has three forms.
  126.  
  127.         List       (or L) by itself displays all available file libraries.
  128.         List lib#  (ie, "L 5") displays a sorted list of all files in
  129.                      that library.
  130.         lib#       (ie, "5") displays only those files with dates newer
  131.                      than or equal to the "last-browsed" date.
  132.  
  133.  M  display the Messages menu.
  134.  
  135.  N  display ALL files with dates newer than or equal to the "last-browsed".
  136.      If there are no "new" files, display filelist sorted by age.
  137.      You may also display only the files in the current library.
  138.  
  139.  O  display information about a wildcard selected list of users.
  140.      Each user may select which information other users may view.

  142.  P  Post a public message to a message conference.
  143.  
  144.  Q  <unused. used as Quit elsewhere in the BBS>

  146.  R  Read public messages in the message conferences.
  147.  
  148.         A  read all new messages in all conferences.
  149.         M  read only those message that are addressed to you.
  150.         #  enters that numbered message conference.
  151.               A  archive messages and leave in email
  152.               S  switch your access to this conference ON or OFF.
  153.               R  (or return) reads the new messages in this conference.
  154.                   If no new msgs, you choose starting number.
  155.               Q  quit reading, return to Conference choice menu

  182.      You will be given a choice of libraries to upload into.

  185.  V  View a log of the past user activity on this BBS.

  187.  W  Who is here. A list of all user-names on this BBS.

  189.  X  toggles eXpert mode (no menus).

  191.  Y  view and alter Your user data, such as password, home phone,
  192.      lines_per_page, transfer protocol, etc. Some data (up:dl ratio, etc.)
  193.      may only be changed by sysops.

  195.        Preferences (line 8):  If a word appears, that option is ON.
  196.          MENUS  - turns on 3 menu set on.
  197.          MENU   - turns on 1 large menu.
  198.          COLORS - turns colors on. (similar to the # command)
  199.          TERSE  - turns off daily cookies and other logon/logoff text.
  200.          STREET - lets other users see your street address.
  201.          PHONE  - lets other users see your phone number

  203.  Z  statistics about current usage for you and the BBS as a whole.

  205.  !  YELL for the sysop. This uses the Amiga sound/voice to try to attract
  206.      the sysop's attention for a chat.

  208.  $  toggle between 3 MENUS, or all-in-one MENU.
