  7.         This version of AGetty does support shells and fax! If a program
  8. is specified in the passwd-file prefaced with a `*', AGetty will
  9. redirect the programs standard in-/output to the serial.deivce. (Look in
  10. the manual for further information!)

  12.         Faxcalls should be recognized and supported, but this feature is
  13. quite untested. Just add a user named "fax" to your passwdfile and
  14. switch the fax recognition of the modem on--usually done with
  15. "AT+FAA=1".

  17.         However, there's no doubt that this is a beta version--it will
  18. definetly have some bugs. If you install it on your machine, you should
  19. know what you're doing. I cannot made responsible for data-loss!

  21. You can check the validity of the files included in the archive using
  22. the MD5SUM utility, contained in the "c/" directory. Just call
  23.  
  24.         c/MD5SUM -vc ReadMe.first
  25.  
  26. and MD5SUM will report any checksum error. To check the validity of this
  27. file containing the MD5 fingerprints, use PGP! (If you do not know PGP,
  28. feel free to contact me.)
