  1.                ASwarm II V2.0 - Quick Install
  2.  
  3. ASwarm   II  V2.0  provides  "Load  Config",  "Save  Config"
  4. features.
  5.  
  6. It's no longer necessary to edit the Parameters of ASwarm II
  7. with the Tooltype Entries in the Icon with the "Information"
  8. function of the workbench.
  9.  
  10. This  features does only work, when you start ASwarm II from
  11. the workbench.

  15. REQUIREMENTS:
  16.  
  17. ASwarm   II  2.0  needs  at  least  Workbench  2.0.   It  is
  18. recommended to use Version 2.1 or 3.0 of Workbench.

  20. Also,  ASwarm  II  2.0  needs  the  MUI System with at least
  21. Version 1.4.  See MUI.readme and below.

  25. QUICK-INSTALL:
  26.  
  27. If  you  don't  have  the  Installer Tool, please follow the
  28. description in this text.
  29.  
  30. The Installer Tool has been officially released by Commodore
  31. and  you can get it from various places, i.e.  the AmiNet or
  32. the Fred Fish AmigaLib Disks.  It is free and was especially
  33. designed for installing packages.
  34.  
  35. Copy  "ASwarm"  and  "ASwarm.info"  to  the  "SYS:WBStartup"
  36. drawer.   Or just click and move (drag) the "ASwarm" icon to
  37. "SYS:WBStartup".

  39. CLI:    Copy ASwarm ASwarm.info TO SYS:WbStartup

  43. QUICK-SETUP:
  44.  
  45. Now  start  ASwarm with a double-click on it's icon.  If the
  46. Config-Window  doesn't  show  up, double-click the icon once
  47. more,  this  should  open  the window.  If it still doesn't:
  48. have you been copying ASwarm, too, not just the Icon ?
  49.  
  50. Edit all desired Parameters, e.g.  number of bees, speed and
  51. Display Mode.
  52.  
  53. Now  use  the  "Save Config" in the "Project Menu" (or press
  54. "Right Amiga S").
  55.  
  56. The  Configuration  will  be  saved  into the Icon.  On next
  57. start, this Configuration will be used.
  58.  
  59. Have fun with these new features.

  62. For interest:  We use the Icon.library to access to the Tool
  63. Type  Entries.   This  is  only  possible  when ASwarm II is
  64. started  from  the  workbench.   Existing Tool Types Entries
  65. will be overwritten.

  69. MUI SPECIFIC:

  71. Please  have in mind that the Edit Window of ASwarm can only
  72. be  opened  when  the MUI system is installed.  Refer to the
  73. file ReadMe.MUI.

  77. ONLINE HELP:

  79. To use the Online Help, there are three different ways:
  80.  
  81. You  copy  the file "<ASwarm>/English/ASwarm.guide" into the
  82. directory where ASwarm will be started. (Not recommended)
  83.  
  84. Or   you   enhance   the   file   ENV:AmigaGuide/Path   (and
  85. ENVARC:AmigaGuide/Path) with the entry "<ASwarm>/English".
  86. (Recommended if you want to install Doc-Files in a seperate
  87. directory)

  89. The  Installer  Tool copies the Guide-Files to the directory
  90. HELP:English;  this is since WB 2.1 the default search path,
  91. you can do also. (Recomended)
