  13. These are the GNU file management utilities.  Most of these programs
  14. have significant advantages over their Unix counterparts, such as
  15. greater speed, additional options, and fewer arbitrary limits.

  17. The programs that can be built with this package are: chgrp, chown,
  18. chmod, cp, dd, df, du, install, ln, dir, vdir, ls, mkdir, mvdir,
  19. mkfifo, mknod, mv, rm, rmdir and touch.  But mvdir is built only on
  20. systems that lack the rename system call.

  22. The programs cat, cut, expand, head, paste, split, tac, tail and
  23. unexpand, which used to be part of the fileutils, are now part of the
  24. textutils.  Cmp is now part of the diff distribution.

  26. This archive contains the Amiga source and the diffs that were applied
  27. to the baseline FSF distribution to generate the Amiga source.
