- The ppssiiggnnaall() function locates the descriptive message string for the
- given signal _s_i_g number and writes it to the _s_t_d_e_r_r.

- If the argument _s is nonĀNULL it is written to the _s_t_d_e_r_r prior to the
- message string. The signal number should be from among those found in
- <_s_i_g_n_a_l_._h>.

- The message strings can be accessed directly using the external character
- array _s_y_s___s_i_g_l_i_s_t. The defined variable NSIG contains a count of the mesĀ
- sages in _s_y_s___s_i_g_l_i_s_t.
